A new store, showroom and studio for an emerging industrial design studio in Glasgow. The brand’s ethos is to design and manufacture well-made, timeless, functional goods and the primary space reflects that. A clean, simple shopfront and interior is punctuated by classic modernist furniture as well as bespoke pieces commissioned especially for the store.

Downstairs, a number of options were proposed for a compact but characterful project space. This was to contrast with the room above, expressing more of its structure and material character, with high-level mirrors and large furniture objects playing a game with the space’s peculiar scale. This would provide an atmosphere rarely found in retail spaces or design studios, giving a platform for the many faces of the brand and its activities.
